SIX60 will play the first ever concert at Eden park this Saturday 24th April to the largest crowd of the SATURDAYS tour!

To celebrate the band’s history-making concert at Eden Park, artist Glenn Jones was commissioned to create a SIX60 mural which has just been installed in Mount Eden.

In what is set to be a monumental event, the band are pulling out all the stops to make it an unforgettable evening for all.

Pfizer/Biontech vaccine to be used in Niue

The Niue government has announced the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine will be used to innoculate the population against Covid-19.

In a statement, the government says Pfizer is the only vaccine currently approved by Medsafe in New Zealand.

The government plans to vaccinate everyone over the age of 16.

New Zealand government gave Niue $NZD9 million last month to help its response to Covid-19.

Tonga's Princess takes the lead on Covid-19 vaccination

Tonga's Princess Pilolevu Tuita was the first person to receive her first dose of the Covid-19 AstraZeneca-Oxford vaccine, followed by frontline workers on Tongatapu.

The Princess volunteered to take part along with her husband Lord Tuita and Prime Minister Dr Pohiva Tu'i'onetoa.

Acting CEO for Health Dr Reynold 'Ofanoa also received his first shot.

Tonga's Covid-19 vaccination programme rolls out this week

Tonga's Covid-19 vaccination programme starts this Thursday on the main island, Tongatapu.

The Minister of Health Dr 'Amelia Tu'ipulotu told Matangi Tonga that frontline workers will be the first to receive their shots at Falemasiva Hall.

The Ministry of Health has held a national campaign on radio and television to inform the public about the vaccine and its roll-out since the first 24,000 doses of the Covid-19 AstraZeneca-Oxford vaccines arrived on March 31.

Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, dies aged 99

Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh has died at the age of 99.

Buckingham Palace said: "It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

"His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle."

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he "inspired the lives of countless young people".

Minister urges caution as Pasifika Festival returns

Organisers of the Pasifika Festival are expecting thousands of people to celebrate its return in Tāmaki Makaurau/ Auckland this morning.

Cancelled for the past two years, due to the Christchurch terror attacks and the Covid-19 pandemic, the two-day festival will be held at a new venue, Mt Smart Stadium. Previously it was held at Western Springs.
